Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, has been a subject of intense debate in the last five days over the claim that she got 362 in this year’s UTME.
Chidoka, who is also the owner of the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Centre where Mmesoma sat for her examination, said he will beg the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for leniency if the candidate come clean with her result source.
Many natives of the South West were also accused of result fraud, and some centres in that geopolitical zone were shut down. Yet nobody from the South West defended them.
While Ejikeme Mmesoma, who (allegedly) paraded herself as the top scorer is from Anambra state, the real 2023 top scorer Umeh Nkechinyere with an aggregate score of 360 is also from the state.
Mmesoma has been accused of forging her examination result which indicated that she scored 362, but has since debunked this, insisting that she actually scored 249.
Residents said this in Nsukka Tuesday in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) while reacting to the three-year ban on Mmesoma Ejikeme by JAMB over alleged manipulation of her results score from 249 to 362.

Ejikeme made the disclosure while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Monday in Onitsha, Anambra State capital.

JAMB said that the new policy was to ensure that the DE candidates justify the possession of their A’level certificates.
The student was also offered full scholarship to study in Godfrey Okoye College of Medicine by the school.
The Board said Tuesday that a total of 1, 595, 779 candidates registered for the examination in 708 CBT centres in 105 examination towns in the country.
