Speaking at the inauguration of a multimillion naira information communication technology (ICT) centre and a central administrative block donated to the Ansaru-ud-Deen College Ijagbo by Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), AbdulRazaq said the administration seeks sustainable partnership with private sector, philanthropists and corporations to fund school infrastructure, manpower development and build a brighter future for the Kwara child.

Akpabio, who thanked the President for reaffirming his commitment to making education key in his development agenda for the youth, through the establishment of technology based tertiary education, pledged the continuous peace and support of the region to his administration.

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Mohammed Abatcha, on Thursday in Maiduguri said the decision was to avoid escalation of violence.

Sanwo-Olu, the Visitor to LASU, also removed the university’s Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council for alleged flagrant violations of the extant laws and regulations of the university guiding the appointment of a vice chancellor.

The panel, chaired by former VC of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Prof. Bamitale Omole, turned in three volumes of report to the Governor – the Visitor to the university – 37 days after it was constituted to examine if the extant laws of the university and other relevant guidelines were followed in the process of appointing a new VC.
