The arraignment of suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Abuja over N6.9 billion alleged procurement fraud has been stalled due to the absence of the first and second defendants who are said to be indisposed.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Ogunleye, of Alakia area, Ibadan, was arraigned on a two-count charge of fraud and conversion.
The defendant, who pleaded not guilty, was brought on a charge of unlawful possession before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
The offences run contrary to Sections 96, 315 and 366 of the Penal Code of Taraba State and punishable under Section 315 of the same law.
The police charged Anyanaso, who resides in Zone 5, Abuja, with wrongful restrain and inciting public disturbance.
Two men, Idowu Bolaji, 45, Adefolu Abiodun, 25, on Friday were arraigned in an Abeokuta, Ogun State Magistrates’ court for allegedly stealing property valued at N555,000 from Foursquare Gospel Church.
