While Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 117 votes at Agowande/ Oshogbo GRA/ Governor’s office polling unit, Oyetola, who ran on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) trailed with 106 votes.
He polled 218 votes to defeat his main contender, Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress.
The PDP candidate cast his vote at Unit 009, Ward 02, Abogunde/Sagba, Ede North in Osun state.
The Chairman of the party, Hon. Sunday Bisi, made the announcement after the party stakeholders meeting in Osogbo.
Recall that an Osun State High Court sitting in Ijebu-jesa had on March 5 recognised officers of the PDP elected in 215 wards under the immediate past State’s Chairman of the party as those eligible to participate in next week’s governorship primary of the party.
