Photos, videos as policemen join DSS operatives blocking National Assembly

Riot policemen have joined the operatives of the Department of State Services blocking the entrance of the National Assembly, preventing Senators, members of the House of Representatives and staff from entering.
Staff who went in before the total blockage of the National Assembly by the DSS operatives, have equally been sent out.
Senators at the entrance of the Assembly prevented from entering by the security agents included Shitu Ubali, Ben Murray-Bruce and Rafiu Ibrahim.
Speaking with newsmen on the development, Murray-Bruce said the names of those working against democracy would be compiled and sent to the embassies of western countries so they could be denied visas.
He said it was unthinkable that such could be happening in Nigeria at this time.
He specifically mentioned the name of the Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, as one of those endangering democracy in the country.
Akpabio is due to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday.
The blockage of the National Assembly’s entrance followed a meeting that was allegedly held by about 30 senators and the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, with the Director General of the DSS, Lawal Daura, in the early hours of Tuesday.
The plot is allegedly to remove the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and the Deputy President of the Senate, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu.
They are to be replaced by the Senate Leader, Ahmad Lawan, and Senator Hope Uzodinma.
