Manchester City cut the lead at the top to 12 points as they beat city rivals, Manchester United, at Old Trafford for the second year in a row in the English Premier League.
James Milner shot City into the lead in the 51st minute of play.
United leveled the score through Kompany’s own goal.
Sergio Aguero scored a sublime winner for City as Man U struggled to curtail their bitter rivals.
But substitute Aguero’s driving run and emphatic finish boosted City’s faint title hopes with seven games left.
The victory, only City’s third at Old Trafford in 39 years, moves Roberto Mancini’s men seven points clear of third-placed Chelsea.
