The author opens the book with musings about the state of mind of a person who suddenly discovers her pregnancy.
And it is written by Patricia Abokede, a child rights activist, child evangelist, mentor, life coach and public speaker.
“Land of Tales” is a collection of 57 poems written by a poet who tells stories of his search for self and nationhood.
We read the author was a “love child” who “lived a fairy tale” and enjoyed “a privileged and indulgent childhood.”
Each chapter of this 95-page book is on a topic in an organic format, each a slice of the author’s thematic preoccupation.

Last week, I started the review of the work: “Sòròsókè: An #EndSARS Anthology,” a collection of poems written by Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora, published in 2022 by Noirledge. The editors of the anthology, Jumoke Verissimo and James Yékú, indicated that the work is primarily a collection of poetic protests against the Nigerian state’s treatment of protesters at Lekki Tollgate in October 2020.
