The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has explained the reasons for the shut down of the registration portal for Batch B prospective corps members, citing a glitch that occurred on Saturday, June 8.
A statement issued on Tuesday by the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, disclosed that the portal was closed after reaching the maximum number of registrations required for the incoming batch.

In the same vein, NYSC debunked a fake press release circulating online, claiming that the registration deadline had been extended.
The statement warned that anyone caught issuing or sharing false information about NYSC operations would be handed over to law enforcement agents for prosecution.
