One of the places in town synonymous with huge refuse generation is the markets. Many times, markets are considered to belong to nobody; as such, traders want their immediate environment habitable for their businesses, and at the close of the day, they “drop” the byproducts of their wares somewhere, mainly on the roadside by the huge refuse collector and head to their various abodes.

The Lagos State Government has reopened Alaba Rago Market, Ojo, following its closure last week for various environmental infractions.

The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources,  Tokunbo Wahab, confirmed this in a statement on Monday in Lagos.

Five Lagos ambulance points located at Lagos Tollgate end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway; Mile 12 in Kosofe LGA, Third Mainland Bridge; Anthony along Oshodi-Oke Expressway and Mobil along Lekki-Epe Expressway in Eti-Osa LGA, now wear a new look courtesy of the Saving One Million Lives Program for Result (SOMLPforR); a Federal Government initiative to strengthen health service delivery.
