Light and water services have been shut down in the National Assembly.
This followed the decision of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria to embark on strike on Monday.
The workers are protesting the nonpayment of their N5.8 billion allowances by the National Assembly.
They vowed last week to embark on strike between December 17 and 20.
