It’s the first anniversary of THEWILL Newspaper and the paper is loaded with an interesting package.
The Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the soaraway newspaper, Austyn Ogannah, revealed this in the forward to this week’s edition.
The main question to which the governing All Progressives Congress and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party are striving to find an answer ahead of the 2023 general election is the main thrust of THEWILL Newspaper’s cover story for the week.
Titled: “2023 Presidential Ticket: Zoning Tears APC, PDP Apart,” the story seeks to examine the leading question that political parties in the country are asking now: Where should the next Nigerian President come from in 2023? Which of the six geopolitical zones should take the slot? Why APC, PDP bigwigs and business leaders have been meeting and mulling the option of a consensus candidate. It is a must read for a good understanding of the zoning question in the country’s political landscape.
Love is also in the air ahead of the Valentine Day celebration across the globe on February 14. Our Society & Entertainment section captures it all in a special feature of celebrities who found love across borders. Our State of the States series for this edition focuses on Niger and Zamfara States with highlights of the economic and business potential in the two states even as the states’ governments continue to woo investors into the states despite the obvious challenges.
On the backpage, Ogannah tells the story of THEWILL as the print edition of the newspaper marks its first year. The narration is a testimony of the popular saying that wherever there is a will, there must surely be a way.
DOWNTOWN, the colourful all-gloss lifestyle and culture magazine insert of THEWILL, takes our first anniversary celebration to another level with a collage of the beautiful cover pages of DOWNTOWN from the first edition of February 14, 2021 till date as it also celebrates the great team; from the writers to photographers, graphics designers to contributors, makeup artists, and cosmetics companies, designers, and stylists, that have contributed to the lifestyle and culture magazine since inception.
