The LPPC revealed this in a statement by the Acting Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Hajo Sarki Bello.

The committee had in September shortlisted a total of 137 candidates, both at advocate filtration stages and academic pre-qualification exercise, for the conferment of the coveted SAN rank.

The immediate past Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, will on June 14, 2019 face the Disciplinary Panel the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee over a prejudicial statement made against the detained former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.

The development was confirmed by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Hadizatu Mustapha, on Thursday

In a petition forwarded to the legal body and signed by the coalition’s National Chairman, Olanrewaju Suraju, the CSNAC said it is by the petition bringing to the committee’s attention outstanding issues with respect to Essien, which, according to it, reasonably discredits his shortlist for consideration as Senior Advocate of Nigeria
