Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has led a protest against the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate for the 2023 elections in Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in London, United Kingdom.
This was just as pro-Tinubu protesters also took their stand in the midst of the protest, which took place on Monday.
The protests took place just outside Chatham House in London, where the National Leader of the APC delivered an address and also responded to questions alongside some of those who accompanied him on the trip..
Omokri, who is a supporter of the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and former aide of ex-President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, was seen in a video at Chatham House with other protesters screaming: “Tinubu ‘Ole,’” a Yoruba term for a thief.
Some of the protesters carried placards which read: “No to a drug baron in Aso Rock,” and “Bulaba Baba boye, drugs have messed Tinubu’s mind.”
Omokri, also alleged on his Twitter handle that the former Lagos State Governor is a notorious drug lord, while stating that Tinubu will never forget the protest.
He tweeted: “Tinubu will never forget the protest we just pulled off at Chatham House.
“He was disgraced and could not get out of his car.
“He had to run away.
“The #HarassTinubuOutofLondon Protest Against Drug Lord Tinubu at Chatham House was a resounding success! We shook the drug lord Asiwaju.”
In the middle of the protest were also those clamoring for Tinubu as president.
They were, however, drowned by the Omokri-led team.
