Power has been restored at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
This followed two days of power interruption at the airport on Saturday and Sunday.
This paralysed the activities at the airport, with passengers having to disembark manually.
In a statement on Monday, the management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria said power has been fully restored at airport.
It blamed a power surge at about 8:56pm on Saturday for the development.
It said the surge adversely affected the k16 transformer that serves the E-Wing Air-bridges and rendered them unserviceable.
It said this affected operations of some departing flights as the heavy rainfall further delayed attempts by engineers to effect repairs immediately.
The statement by Yakubu Dati added: “However, by 10:50am on Sunday 28th August, the engineers successfully corrected all defaults and normalcy was again restored at affected areas.”
While assuring airport users of safety and security at our airports, FAAN apologised to passengers, the airlines and the general public for the inconvenience caused by this interruption.
