Top Nigeria defender, Kenneth Omeruo is currently nursing an injury and could miss the first meeting between his outfit and Ghana.
Having established a place in the Super Eagles team in the last few years, the former Chelsea defender is expected to have a key role to play in the playoff round of the African qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Unfortunately, an injury at his club Leganes where he has been unable to play any part in the last three games is a major concern.
If he is unable to recover in time, Omeruo will miss the first leg of the tie between Nigeria and Ghana.
He has already been named in the Nigeria squad for the two-legged encounter against Ghana and his coach is keenly monitoring the situation.
The first leg of the Ghana v Nigeria game is scheduled to be staged at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on March 25, 2022.
Subsequently, the Black Stars will travel to Abuja to face the Super Eagles on March 29.
