Information reaching The Eagle Online has it that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will have a telephone conversation with the players and coaching crew of the country’s national team, the Super Eagles, on Tuesday (today).
The chat with the team, scheduled for 4pm Nigerian time, is to encourage the team to go all out to defeat the Eagles of Mali in the semi-final match of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
The match is scheduled for 4pm on Wednesday.
President Jonathan has promised to be in South Africa for the final if the Super Eagles qualify.
To get to the semi-final, the Super Eagles defeated the highly rated Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire 2-1.
