The Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Plateau State, Raymond Dabo, has announced the cancelation of the delegates congress of the party in Pankshin Local Government of Plateau State.
Dabo said the cancellation was based on disagreement that ensued among stakeholders of the local government over distribution of the delegates forms.
Dabo told journalists: “We have to cancel the congress in Pankshin Local Government because there was serious disagreement by stakeholders of the local government.
“Top political leaders of the local government stormed my office with complains over distribution of delegates forms.
“Ee sat in my office and agreed to cancel the congress.
“And so it has been canceled.”
Dabo said the committee supervising the congress in Pankshin Local Government Area has also been dissolved based agreement reached by all the stakeholders of the local government.
He added: “A new date would be agreed and a new committee to supervise the rescheduled congress will be set up.
“Apart from Pankshin Local Government, the congresses were successful in all the other local governments in the state.
“The national officials went round the state to supervise the process and I am sure they are satisfied with the peaceful conduct of the congress.”
