Former Nigeria’s goalkeeper, Ike Shorunmu, has been named the goalkeeper trainer of Nigeria Professional Football League outfit, Ikorodu United.
The management of the Lagos-based outfit also announced Shakiru Giwa as Coach Theodorus Jacob de Jong’s assistant as they continue their fight against relegation.
“The management of Ikorodu United is glad to announce the addition of new assistant coach and goalkeeper trainee, Shakiru Giwa and Ike Shoromu,” a statement from the team reads.
Both coaches would be hoping to rescue the Oga Boys from relegation with just 15 points from 21 games to stay at the base of the NPFL log.
Ikorodu United face MFM FC in their next NPFL outing at the Agege Stadium on Sunday.
