According to DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesman of the command, Adeoye was arrested following a distress call received at the Sango Ota Divisional Police Headquarters that the store had been broken into.

Spokesman for the command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said in a statement that a joint task force was set, in conjunction with other security agencies, to clamp down on the use of unregistered motorcycles, which had become commonplace in the state.

Four suspects: John Nelson, 21; Adeleke Ayotunde, 29; Adekunle Basit, 20 and Abey Fagbemi, 20, were arrested in connection with the crime, following a complaint lodged at the Onipanu divisional headquarters by one Adejunwon Odunowo.

According to a statement by the public relations officer of the command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the students’ body made the commendation when officials of the association visited Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun, on Friday 30th April 2021, in his office.
They were alleged to have extorted a sum of N153,000 from one Sheriff Adedigba who was traveling from Abeokuta to Lagos.
The three policemen namely: Inspector Sunday John, Sgt. Jimoh Asimiya and Sgt. Solomon Adedapo, allegedly forcefully extorted the said amount of money from the complainant while he was travelling from Abeokuta to Lagos.

The suspect, Kazeem Olanrewaju, was arrested when the Divisional Police Officer, Idiroko Division, CSP Shadrach Oriloye was on routine patrol with his men, and sighted the Venza car without number plate, driven in a suspicious manner.
