The suspects, Taiwo Ismaila, Egbekunle Abiodun, Abdullah Sanni, Nuru Ibrahim, Wasiu Aweda and Babatunde Sikiru, were arrested following information received by the Divisional Police Officer, Ibogun division, that vandals were removing some rods along the rail lane.

The Divisional Police Officer of Sagamu Division, CSP Okiki Agunbiade, had received a distress call at about 9 pm that a robbery operation was going on at the Sagamu Interchange, and that one of their victims had been seriously injured.

A complaint had earlier been lodged at the Onipanu Divisional Headquarters, Lagos, by the company that the driver was given a truck loaded with the company’s goods on the 15th of March 2021 to deliver somewhere in Isolo, Lagos, and that the driver allegedly absconded with the truck as well as the goods.
