Akpabio stated this in his brief remarks at the ceremony for the award of Doctorate Degree of Law (honoris causa) by the Ekiti State University on Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, in Ado Ekiti on Saturday.
Akpabio, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh said as they celebrate, they should continue to pray and work for the unity of the nation.
Atiku recently claimed in an interview with journalist Adesuwa Giwa-Osagie, emphasising that he received reports of Akpabio’s corruption while in office as Governor of Anambra State.
Karimi, who represents Kogi West Senatorial District, made the assertion on Sunday while speaking to newsmen in Lokoja, describing the face-off as “very unfortunate and avoidable.”

The vote of confidence in Senator Akpabio also emphasises the critical role of institutional loyalty and solidarity in Nigeria’s legislative landscape.
The Senate, in a motion on notice filed on March 17 by its lawyer, Chikaosolu Ojukwu, SAN, had sought an order setting aside Order Number Four, among others, in the enrolled ex-parte order made by Justice Obiora Egwuatu on March 4 against the defendants in Natasha’s suit.

In a statement on Sunday, Nwebonyi argued that the claims were unsubstantiated and conveniently timed to deflect attention from an ongoing disciplinary process against Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Concerns have intensified over the conflict between Natasha and Akpabio, who have been in the news since last week
The Eagle Online recalls the face-off was due to the refusal of Akpoti-Uduaghan to abide by seat allocation during a plenary session.
