A yet-to-be-identified man has lost his life in a road accident that occurred alongside the Gbongan/Ife expressway on Wednesday.
The lone accident involving a truck was reportedly caused by brake failure, leading to a loss of control by the driver.
The truck conveyed packs of non-alcoholic drinks and spilled its contents after the crash.
Another traveller in the vehicle was injured and rushed to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Ile-Ife, Osun State, by the men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, who responded to the distress call from the scene of the accident.
The Osun Sector Commander, FRSC, Adeyemi Sokunbi, confirmed the accident in a statement on Wednesday.
