Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has missed out on a move to Tanzanian side Simba SC after both parties failed to agree on personal terms.
The deal, which had reached an advanced stage, collapsed at the final hurdle due to financial disagreements between the player’s camp and the club.
Sources said Simba were unwilling to meet the goalkeeper’s demands, which they considered too high.
A source said: “Simba wanted to sign him because he is a good goalkeeper.
“But the demands from his side were too exorbitant, and they have moved on.”

The 29-year-old has been without a club since leaving Chippa United earlier this year and had been expected to secure a fresh start in East Africa.
Reports indicate that Simba had shown long-standing interest in the Nigerian international, having attempted to sign him earlier in January before reopening talks recently.
However, negotiations again broke down over salary and contract terms.
Another source said: “They really wanted to sign him in January, but it did not happen, and they have moved on from him.”
The collapse is a setback for Nwabali, who rose to prominence during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with standout performances for Nigeria.
Despite the failed move, interest in the goalkeeper remains strong, with clubs in South Africa, North Africa and Europe reportedly monitoring his situation.
