President Muhammadu Buhari and his immediate family, including the First Lady, Hajia Aisha Buhari, on Sunday marked the end of the Ramadan fasting with a prayer session.
The President, with his immediate family members and a few officials performed the two raka’at prayers during Eid al-Fitr celebration at the State House, Abuja.
President Buhari had in conformity with the orders of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control cancelled congregational prayers owing to the need to curb the spread of the Coronavirus Disease in the country.
President Buhari had also barred the usual homage by top government officials and residents of Abuja to him in the State House in the bid to stop the spread of COVID-19.
The visits would have taken place after the Eid prayers.
