Gunmen have kidnapped three children in Ajaokuta Local Government area of Kogi State, making a demand of N100 million ransom.
The abduction of the children, aged three, five and 10, has been confirmed by the Kogi State Police Command.
The spokesman of the Command, William Ayah, confirmed the abduction and demand for N100 million ransom in a statement.
In the statement on Friday, Ayah said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Edward Ebuka, has deployed operatives of various police anti-kidnapping units in collaboration with vigilantes and hunters to trail the armed kidnappers, who took the children at about 8pm on Wednesday from the home in Kaduna Estate, Ajaokuta Steel Township complex.
They were said to have fired sporadically to scare residents away before they abducted the children.
