A former Super Eagles player, Tijani Babangida, and his wife have survived a car crash along the Kaduna-Zaria Expressway.
However, the younger brother of the gold winning Atlanta 1996 Nigeria team, Ibrahim, did not survive in the crash.
A former teammate of Babangida, who is the President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria, Emmanuel Babayaro, confirmed the development in a statement on Thursday.
Babayaro, the General Secretary of PFAN, revealed that the accident occurred on Thursday.

“Ibrahim Babangida, his younger brother, died on the spot from the accident while Mr President (Babangida) and his family were taken to the hospital.
