The newly-elected factional Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror, and his members have paid a courtesy visit to the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo.
The members of the Assembly paid the visit to the CP shortly after their inauguration at a yet to be confirmed venue said to be the house of a governorship aspirant in the September 19, 2020 governorship poll in the state and the election of Edoror as Speaker on Thursday.
Although details of the visit were sketchy as at press time, it was gathered Kokumo pledged his support to the 17 lawmakers for the success of the new Assembly leadership.
The lawmakers took group photographs with Kokumo in his office.
The 17 lawmakers, who are loyal to a former Governor of the State and former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, had earlier impeached the Speaker, Frank Okiye, and his Deputy, Rowland Asoro.
