The national Under -23 team, otherwise known as Dream Team VI, on Wednesdaybattered Utaka Academy of Minna by six unreplied goals.
The encounter, which took place inside the main bowl of the National Stadium, Abuja, was the last practice game before the commencement of the Super 6 and the trip to Tunisia by the Dream Team.
The Samson Siasia lads got their first goal in the fifth minute through Godwin Saviour, while Azubuike Okechukwu took absolute control of the midfield, making life difficult for the boys from Minna.
Despite this advantage, the Dream Team still showed traces of anxiety, but 3SC’s Ajayi Junior increased the tally in the 38th minute, just as Saviour made it three to grab a brace on the evening.
On resumption of the second half, the Dream Team VI compounded their opponents woes with new comer, Peter Onyekachi of Enyimba and Bayelsa United’s Tonbara Tiongoli, grabbing the fourth and fifth goal.
In form Onyekachi put the icing on the cake by scoring his second goal of the day in the 71st minute to end the encounter six nil.
