The Senate on Thursday confirmed the nomination of eight nominees as Resident Electoral Commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The confirmation appears to bring to an end the face-off between the Senate and the Presidency over the refusal of he latter to remove from office the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu.
With the confirmation of the eight RECs on Thursday, only four more are left yet to be confirmed
