John Fashanu has made a pretty crazy claim as to what Tottenham midfielder, Dele Alli, could do in the future.
In hard to believe comments, the former ‘Crazy Gang’ member revealed that he thinks the 20-year-old could return to Nigeria – where he grew up – to become the king of a tribe.
Alli’s father, Kenny, is a part of the same tribe as Fashanu, the Yoruba, and Dele is already a prince of the group.
“If Dele went back to Nigeria now it would be crazy,” Kenny told the Daily Star.
“He would have a presidential welcome wherever he goes.
“Everybody watches him play and is proud of him. It opens every door for him being a prince. As he is he can talk to our prime minister and the president if he wants to.”
Fashanu added: “Dele being a prince in Nigeria is absolutely massive.
“It would give him a lot of respect if he returned to live here and maybe one day he could be king of the Yoruba tribe.
“It means a lot of houses, cars and enormous wealth.”
