Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command attached to Imala Police Division have arrested a suspected armed robber, Akeem Ismail, following the raid of some black spots in the state.
The Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Division, Nurudeen Baba Hamzat, led the arrest of the suspect.
This was during a 24-hour operation of the raids of criminal hideouts along Ayetoro Obada Road led by the Chief superintendent of Police.
The state police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, said that Ismail was sighted during the raid trying to escape on a Bajaj Motorcycle with registration number OGB 592 UP.

The Police Public Relations Officer said the suspect was trying to flee into a surrounding forest.
Odutola added: “He was searched, and some dangerous weapons were recovered from him.
“A new locally made pistol was found on him and he confessed that the pistol belong to him.
“He further claimed he bought it in Ilara town.
“The Police have commenced an investigation into his confession as it is believed that there are other gang members.
“The Commissioner of Police has been briefed and he has expressed his commitment to the elimination of crimes and criminals from the state.”
