The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), said it has arrested three suspects, including an 81-year-old man identified as Adeleke Oke, and two others for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl in Offa, Kwara State.
The other suspects, according to available information, are Sikiru Lawal (37) and Moshood Ayinde (37).
The NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Ayoola Michael disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday.
According to the statement, the suspects were arrested on Sunday following a report lodged by the victim’s father.
It added that the case has been transferred to the Gender Unit of the command for further investigation.
The statement read, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the three suspects had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor on different occasions and threatened her not to disclose the illicit acts to anyone.

“Furthermore, a detailed medical examination confirmed that the victim’s hymen was ruptured and provided clear evidence of repeated sexual penetration.
“The suspects confessed to the crime and will be charged to court for prosecution.
“The State Commandant of NSCDC, Dr Umar J.G. Mohammed, vehemently condemned the despicable act, urging the good people of the state to partner with the Corps in its efforts to combat defilement, rape, and other sexual offences.”
