The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, and the All Progressives Congress candidate for the 2023 presidential election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, were among dignitaries that attended a Special Juma’at service to mark Nigeria’s Democracy Day.
The Special Juma’at service was held on Friday at the Central Mosque in Abuja ahead of the June 12 Democracy Day.
The Federal Government has declared June 13, 2022 as a public holiday in observance of the day.
Those who joined Lawan and Tinubu at the Central Mosque on Friday included Senator Kashim Shettima; Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje; Chief Imam of the Central Mosque, Sheik Ibrahim Ahmad Maquari; Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi; and Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi.
