Nigeria for the second day running recorded low new number of infections of the Coronavirus Disease, with 640 new cases on Monday.
This came a day after the country recorded 506 cases.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, which released the latest data on its Twitter handle, said six deaths were also recorded on Monday.
Leading the states with new infections on Monday was Oyo State with 88 cases, while the epicentre of the pandemic in Nigeria, Lagos State, reported 86 cases.
Others with new cases were Rivers-55, Edo-54, Akwa Ibom-53, Adamawa-52, Plateau-45, Kaduna-41, FCT-34, Kwara-27 and Benue-20.
Others were Kano-19, Delta-18, Nasarawa-16, Niger-15, Bayelsa-11, Borno-5, Bauchi-2 and Sokoto-2.
In all as at Monday night, Nigeria has recorded 140,391 confirmed cases since the first reported case on February 27, 2020, with 114,635 successfully treated and discharged and 1,673 deaths.
