The newly-redeployed Special Adviser to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Commerce and Industry, Deji Tinubu, is dead.
Tinubu was recently moved in a cabinet shake up by Ambode from Special Adviser on Sports to Commerce and Industry.
He was before then the Director of the Lagos State Sports Council.
Information available to The Eagle Online has it that Tinubu died in Epe where the State Executive Council was holding a retreat.
He was said to be engaged in a game of football when he slumped and died.
A source told The Eagle Online: “He died right there on the field.”
There had been no official statement on the development as at press time.
So also did the spokespersons of the government not pick calls to their mobile numbers.
In the group photograph accompanying this story, which was taken before the commencement of the football game in Epe on Thursday, Tinubu is the one with some spot of red on his jersey.
