Cazorla brace keeps Arsenal top

Arsenal remain top of the Premier League as they claimed their 16th win of the season, beating a stubborn Fulham side 2-0 at the Emirates.
Santi Cazorla was the hero for the Gunners as he hit two goals on home soil but they found it tough to break down their opponents who had Maarten Stekelenburg in fine form between the sticks.
Fulham’s Dutch goalkeeper produced save after save as the Gunners poured forward and he denied Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla in the opening period.
After the break, Serge Gnabry danced his way past two Fulham defenders but saw his curling strike was saved by the outstanding Stekelenburg.
And moments later, the Cottagers somehow kept the ball out again as Arsenal continued their relentless pursuit of an opener with the ball.
Eventually, Arsene Wenger’s men did break the deadlock when an excellent passing move after 57 minutes ended with Santi Cazorla sliding in to finally bury a strike from 12 yards.
And the diminitive Spaniard added a second just after the hour-mark as he tucked a long range daisy cutter into the bottom corner.
Elsewhere, Manchester City beat Cardiff City 4-2 to sustain the chase on Arsenal for the Premier League crown.
Sunderland held Southampton to a 2-all draw, Crystal Palace piped Stoke City by a lone goal, Norwich City also defeated Hull City 1-0, West Ham United’s poor run continued as they lost 1-3 to Newcastle United at home.
