The All Progressives Congress has won the presidential election in Bukkuyum Gummi and Talata Mafara local government areas of Zamfara State.
The results of the three local government areas, presented to the State Returning Officer, Prof. Kabiru Bala, showed that APC, with President Muhammadu Buhari as candidate, scored higher votes of 24,736 from Bukkuyum; 42,697 from Gummi; and 44,270 from Talata Mafara.
The Peoples Democratic Party, which has former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as candidate, came second with Bukkuyum 6,615 votes, Gummi 10,792 votes and Talata Mafara 9,159 votes
Other parties in contest were the National Rescue Movement that polled in Bukkuyum 142 votes, Gummi 151 votes and Talata Mafara 248 votes, while the All Progressives Grand Alliance had in Bukkuyum 24 votes, Gummi 20 votes and Talata Mafara 30 votes.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that all the parties in the contest accepted the results presented at the collation centre.
The parties in the contest were APC, PDP, NRM and APGA.
