Rangers to sign All Star players, others for mid-season registration

Amobi Ezeaku, Team Manager, Rangers International FC of Enugu, says the club will try to register some All Star players and others that matched the team’s requirement.
Ezeaku told the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Enugu that the club would do everything possible to strengthen the team to win the 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional football League.
The manager spoke against the backdrop of the team’s 1-0 victory over the All Stars lineup in Enugu.
The goal was scored by Emmanuel Agali in the 76th minute of the match.
He said: “Our motto still remains never say die because we rise through difficult times.
“Ugonna Uzochukwu and Uche Nwofor are players being considered by the club’s management from the All Stars team, and they will be unveiled as soon as their registration goes through.”
NAN reports that Onyedika Ogbuke and Ugonna Anyora, currently plying their trade with Rangers were also signed from the All Stars team of Enugu.
The All Stars team is made up of professional footballers that are currently without a club but play together as a team at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus pitch.
On the team’s performance in the league, Ezeaku told NAN that Rangers did not start the season well.
He said: “Although, it is not all about the first-stanza of the season, but about the entire season and we understand as well the importance of victory.
“Yes, we are seventh on the log that is why we are serious with mid-season registration of player to ensure we arrive at our target at the end of the season.
We have been able to record an away victory and draws, and here we are among the top ten on the log.
“Our objective for the season is to win the league and we have more than 20 matches to play in the season.’’
