Welfare of our personnel is paramount– CAS Abubakar 

The Chief of Air Staff, AVM Sadique Abubakar, on Tuesday says welfare of officers, Airmen and airwomen of the Nigerian Airforce is paramount.
Abubakar stated this at the commissioning of two new blocks of 10 by single-bedroom residential accommodation for airmen/airwomen in Bauchi.
‎He said Nigerian Airforce was committed to the welfare of officers, airmen and women.
He said: “We place top priority on the welfare of members of the Nigerian Airforce in all the Airforce formations across the country.”
He said the newly constructed residential quarters were commissioned on Tuesday, “in the NAF’s effort to address personnel accommodation challenges and enhance the welfare of its personnel for effective and efficient service delivery.
Air Marshal Abubakar was represented by the Chief of Administration, Headquarters NAF, Air Vice Marshal Kingsley Lar, reiterated the commitment of the current NAF leadership to enhancing the welfare of personnel to enable them perform their statutory roles more effectively.
Sadique said: “It could be recalled that October 18, 2018 we commission another 2 blocks of 6 by single-bedroom rooms in this Bauchi NAF Base.”
He said there was the need to create a very conducive environment and ensure better living conditions for personnel and their families.
Abubakar stressed that decision to embark on construction of new accommodation fully furnished was to enhance welfare of airmen and airwomen across the country.
‎Earlier, the Commander 251 NAF Base Ser‎vice Group Bauchi, Group Captain Nazeef Aliyu commended the Chief of Air Staff for all the support given to the Base.
He said: “We want to appreciate him for repositioning the Airforce into highly professional profession through building of capacity and making welfare of officers and men a top priority.”
