Juventus’ strong start to the new Champions League campaign continued with a comfortable victory against Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Stadium.
Strikes from Gonzalo Higuain and Federico Bernardeschi had eased Maurizio Sarri’s men in control in Turin, before Cristiano Ronaldo added further gloss to the scoreline late on.
Leverkusen stopper Lukas Hradecky almost extended the hosts lead in the second half, but clawed the ball off the line after attempting to turn beyond the onrushing Sami Khedira inside the penalty area.
