Double strikes by Emmanuel Yerima and Mannaseh Zakaria on Thursday in Abuja helped Waco Academy to a 4-1 win over Sun FC in the ongoing 2018 FCT Football Association League.
Yerima scored first for Waco Academy in the 11th minute of the match played at the Area 3 pitch, while Zakaria extended the lead in the 35th minute.
Yerima took his turn to score again by getting his brace one minute into the added time of first half, taking the scoreline to 3-0.
Chizonna Okeke scored the lone goal for Sun FC in the 70th minute, while Zakaria got his brace in the 80th minute.
Meanwhile, the league’s first phase which was earlier scheduled to end on Monday will now end on Tuesday.
This is because the match between Fosla Academy and Optimum Academy, which could not be played on Oct. 18, will now be played on Tuesday.
Also on that same day, Fire Service FC will slug it out with Winners Academy FC.
