The Foxes, who beat United 4-2 at the King Power Stadium back in October, have been forced to deal with a plethora of injury issues to key personnel throughout the campaign and lady luck does not appear to be changing for manager Rodgers. Their never-ending injury woes this term have contributed to their slide down the Premier League table, with the club set to miss out on a top-five finish for the first time since 2018/19.

The Nigerian midfielder sustained the issue in the Europa Conference League against Rennes last week and was nowhere to be seen in the Foxes’ 2-1 win over Brentford at the weekend.

The defensive midfielder won a full-blooded 50-50 inside his own box in the second half of the Europa Conference League last-16 second leg and hobbled off afterwards to be replaced by James Maddison.

The Daily Mail claimed that Belgium star, Youri Tielemans, is likely to depart the King Power Stadium as he has approximately one year to run on his contract, while his midfield partner, Wilfred Ndidi, is on the radar of other clubs.
