The management of German Club, TTC RhönSprudel Maberzell Fulda, has said they signed up Aruna Quadri following his exploits across the globe, particularly with his performance against German sports hero, Timo Boll, at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria has hailed Minister of Youth and Sports Development Sunday Dare’s intervention regarding payment of allowances to athletes that represented Nigeria in international and continental competitions in the last three years. Athletes and officials have either been short paid, underpaid or not paid at all by the suspended President of the AFN.

Dare stated that the ministry has, as its major agenda, a reset of the sports sector to ensure a vibrancy, a goal he believes MultiChoice is well positioned to help bring to fruition. Components of the envisaged reset, the minister said, include a revamp of infrastructure, deliberate talent development initiatives and drive for corporate sector involvement to accelerate financial growth of the sector.

Other ministers expected at the brainstorming session, according to a statement by the Head, Corporate Communications, Nigeria Economic Summit Group, Yinka Iyinolakan, are the Minister of Education, Information and Culture, Women Affairs, Industry, Trade and Investment, Finance, Budget and National Planning, Youth and Sports Development, Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social development.
