The Head of Press and Public Relations of NAPTIP, Stella Nezan, disclosed this in a statement in Abuja on Thursday that the step will be taken in order to forestall any incidence of human trafficking.

In the suit No B/2C/2015, the convict, who lives at 1, Adunwa Street, off Uwelu Road, Benin City, was charged on a two-count charge of Procurement for Prostitution and facilitating activity for trafficking in persons, contrary to the provisions of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act 2015.
The offender was arraigned by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons on a two-count charge of sexually exploiting an underage girl and harbouring the said underage girl in his friend’s house with intent to further exploit her sexually.
The accused was arraigned on a two-count charge of fraudulently procuring two under-aged children (five years and seven years respectively) from their parents in Zanzo Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
