He decried the rancour noticed in the transition Process at the Federal Level and in some States, commended the harmony in the transition process in Delta State as a shining example in the country stating that “Delta State can showcase to the world what transition should be, it has been going on very smoothly, it can be done without friction and rancor. It should be emulated by everybody throughout the country

He pleaded: “I appeal to al the oil producing ethnic nationalities be it Ijaw, Itsekiri, Urhobo, Ndokwa or Ika to support the restructuring of DESOPADEC. DESOPADEC as it is presently constituted does not touch the critical masses at the grassroots. The proposed restructuring aims to will not only create more jobs to our teeming youths but also enhance development. There will be a decentralization of power. More powers will be given to the ethnic nationalities

“It also seeks to galvanize public discourse and thus setting the agenda in our nation. It was and still our belief that University of Ibadan as the foremost citadel of learning and the flagship of University education in Nigeria, is a credible brand to initiate public discourse especially for very credible Nigerians who have indeed made their mark in our society,” Emina said
