North Africa’s Morocco has pre-selected 12 cities and 14 stadiums with Casablanca, the economic hub, and Marrakesh, its tourist capital, each having two stadiums, while the others will be spread around the country, the largest in Tangiers boasting a 93,000-seat capacity.

Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday, during a courtesy call by a delegation of the Nigeria Football Federation, led by the General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the envoy expressed his view that the Moroccan B team may not be as strong as the A team that has (like Nigeria’s A team) qualified to be one of Africa’s five flagbearers at this summer’s FIFA World Cup finals.
