The Nasarawa State Police Command in its fight against criminals has arrested a suspected kidnapper, Abdulkarim Zakari, for being among those who allegedly kidnapped Cironman Fulani at Arugbadu village of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area and collected N5 million as ransom.
Though his share was over N1 million, when he was arrested, only N547,000 believed to be part of his benefit was recovered from him.
The command’s spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramhan Nansel, said on October 27, 2024, at about 11:30am, police operatives attached to 38 PMF Akwanga in collaboration with men of the Nasarawa Eggon Division arrested one Abdulkarim Zakari of Konba village, Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State in connection to a case of kidnapping undergoing investigation.

Nansel added: “Upon interrogation, he confessed to being part of the syndicate that kidnapped Ciroman Fulani at Arugbadu where they collected a ransom of N5,000,000 and was given his share of N1,200,000.”
The Command’s Commissioner, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has ordered a manhunt for the other fleeing members of the syndicate and also commended the officers for sustaining the onslaught against criminals in the state.
