Nigerian international, Victor Moses, has been left out of Chelsea’s squad for their Super Cup clash against Bayern Munich in Prague on Friday, raising further doubts over his future at Stamford Bridge.
Moses has been linked with moves to Liverpool and West Ham after failing to make an appearance for Chelsea in their opening three Premier League games.
The winger joined the Stamford Bridge club from Wigan last August for £9 million.
Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers, wants Moses on a season-long loan at Liverpool and has been encouraged after the player was told he can leave the club.
Chelsea want a £2 million loan fee for the 22-year-old, but Liverpool will try to secure his release on reduced terms. Moses earns £55,000 a week at Chelsea and Liverpool are reluctant to match that.
But they are still hopeful of a deal as Moses prepares to leave Chelsea before the transfer deadline on Monday.
Meanwhile, Moses’ compatriot, John Obi Mikel, has been included in the squad despite interest from Galatasaray, Napoli and Monaco.
