Husaini Muhammed, the Osun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, has urged security agencies in the state to refrain from flouting traffic laws.
Muhammed told the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Osogbo that security agencies as custodians of the law ought to set a good example by obeying traffic laws.
He said: “I wish to use this opportunity to call on the commanders, heads of military and other para-military agencies in the state to warn their personnel to stop breaking traffic laws indiscriminately.
“I commend their efforts and operations as security agencies in the state but they should be mindful of the law and carry out their duties and responsibilities without breaking traffic laws.”
Muhammed expressed satisfaction with the command’s operational structure, assuring residents of the state that the FRSC would ensure safety on the roads.
The FRSC chief also called for continued cooperation between the government and other agencies in the state.
NAN recalls that Muhammed was transferred to Osun State in December 2013 to replace the former Sector Commander, Imoh Etuk, who was posted to Delta State.
