The Managing Director/CEO of Saxophone Hub, Jerry Omole, has stated that his outfit was created to help raise generations of musicians to boost the industry beyond Nigeria.
Omole noted that the musicians at the Hub will not only master their craft but also carry the African sound and spirit to global heights.
He spoke at the hosting of two prominent professors from Berklee College of Music: Godwin Louis and Jhony Keys, at Victoria Island, Lagos State.
He said: “There is no retirement when it comes to music as it helps enhance whatever dream you have.
“Saxophone hub has a long-standing collaboration with Backcountry Jazz initiates led by Bennie Wallace where scholarship opportunities are open to young saxophonists and also the Berklee College of music is equally awarding scholarship to some of the most outstanding musicians.”
Louis, a Grammy award nominated saxophonist, educator and composer, said: “Jazz music will take its spot through strategic push as we blacks have got good and unique talent when it comes to music.

“I am amazed to see the growth of kids at the saxophone hub and their levels of understanding when it comes to music.
“The global market awaits these budding gems.”
The two Professors of Music based in the United States of America – Louis and Keys – treated the audience to an amazing session with some youths also on parade as the Jazz Hangout took place for over two hours.
