Ogun FA’s ex-scribe is dead

Former Ogun State Football Association Secretary, Leo Kehinde Oyenekan, is dead.
Oyenekan, 57, according to a statement by the association’s media officer, Wole Otayomi, died in Abeokuta after a brief illness.
The OSFA chairman, Alhaji Ganiu Majekodunmi, described the late former secretary as diligent, hardworking and a committed officer, who spent over 15 years serving the association, adding that deceased has left a vacuum which may be difficult to fill.
His words: “It is indeed shocking that Oyenekan is late at this time that we still yet to come to terms with the demise of the former Super Eagles coaches, Shaibu Amodu and Stephen Keshi.
“We would definitely miss Oyenekan because he was always willing to give backing to football development in the state.
“We however pray that the families of the departed ones have the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
A special session is being planned in honour of the late former scribe in Abeokuta.
